Àṣẹ (ah-shay)! My name is Jocelyn, and I am passionate about helping others gain new perspectives and learn about their internal power. I became a mental health counselor to enlighten others about the control that they possess within and to also give them hope that no matter the circumstances, there is still joy and peace to discover in this life. I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate from Greensboro, NC. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Catawba College.
Over the years, I have gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have struggled with regulating various adversities in their lives. It is my passion to continue to guide individuals in improving their mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Throughout the counseling process, I maintain a humanistic, person-centered approach while implementing solution-focused strategies and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I also love to incorporate somatic work, such as movement practices and mindfulness activities, to enhance self-awareness and develop healthy self-care habits.
As a counselor, I am committed and look forward to helping individuals and families gain knowledge and tools as they discover their potential to change and begin to experience the best parts of life as a result of those changes. Therapy with me will provide an opportunity for you to be yourself, welcome new perspectives, and renew your lifestyle. Together, we will take the time to become whole again.
I work in our High Point Center, and also offer virtual appointments throughout the state of North Carolina.
