Hello! I’m glad you stopped by – just doing that is the first step of your healing process. I’m Allison, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling-Associate and National Board-Certified Counselor.
Throughout my clinical practice, I’ve supported children, teenagers, and adults through many life challenges. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC-Greensboro in Human Development and Family Studies. I have dual Master of Arts degrees from Liberty University, focused on Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as Human Services with a concentration in Marriage and Families.
Since transitioning into clinical practice, I’ve found my calling supporting teenagers and adults throughout the lifespan. I have specific focuses on perinatal mental health, fertility challenges, pregnancy and birth trauma, as well as perinatal loss and grief counseling. I believe in the importance of holding space for the deepest emotions. I draw from a person-centered approach, incorporating mindfulness techniques, along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy to assist clients working toward their goals.
My goal is to cultivate safe and supportive rapport to work together with clients to meet their individual needs, whether it be for a specific issue or for general support throughout life’s curveballs.
I work in our High Point Center, and also offer virtual appointments throughout the state of North Carolina.
